Set Up AI Scheduling for Your Referral Program in 60 Seconds

Nicole Adams · September 18, 2026 · 4 min read

Every referral introduction should end in a meeting. Here is how to make that happen automatically in under a minute.

What you need

Two accounts, both free to start:

  1. Introzy — free plan works.
  2. Howie ($25/month after trial) — sign up and connect your Google Calendar. Howie is a separate product; Introzy does not create Howie accounts for you.

Once Howie is connected to your Google Calendar, you are ready.

Step 1: Find your Howie assistant email

Log into howie.ai. Your assistant email is on the dashboard — it is either the default howie@howie.com or, if your team uses a custom-domain assistant ($20/month add-on), something like howie@yourdomain.com.

Copy that email address. You will paste it once and never think about it again.

Step 2: Connect Howie in Introzy

In Introzy, go to Settings → Integrations → Howie. Paste the assistant email and hit Connect. That is the entire setup — one field, no OAuth, no API key.

Any admin on the organization can do this. The email applies org-wide: every user who sends through Introzy can now CC Howie.

For the full integration details and FAQ, see the Howie integration page.

Step 3: Send a referral intro with Howie

From any contact in Introzy, open the referral intro wizard or hit Schedule with Howie on the person slideout. Check the Howie option. Introzy adds your assistant to the CC line automatically.

The email goes out from your actual mailbox (via Nylas), so the recipient sees a normal email from you — not a platform notification. Howie reads the thread, proposes times from your Google Calendar, follows up if someone goes quiet, and books the meeting.

You do not write a scheduling message. Introzy appends the scheduling ask for you so Howie knows to engage. For the curious, our engineering team wrote about why that sentence matters.

Step 4: The meeting lands on the timeline

After Howie books the meeting, the Google Calendar event syncs back to Introzy through your existing calendar integration. The booked meeting appears on the contact's timeline — no manual logging, no copy-paste.

The introducer does not need to chase the thread. The referral tracker shows the meeting happened. If your program tracks referral velocity — the time from introduction to first meeting — that number just got a lot smaller.

Things to know

DetailWhat it means for you
Google Calendar onlyHowie reads and writes Google Calendar. If your team is on Outlook, Howie cannot book on your calendar yet.
Booking takes minutes, not secondsHowie uses a hybrid AI + human review model. Expect a response within minutes, not instantly. Do not panic if it is not immediate.
Works with custom-domain assistantsIf your team has a white-label Howie (howie@yourdomain.com), just paste that email instead of the default.
One email per orgThe Howie email is shared across your Introzy organization. Individual users do not need separate Howie installs.
Howie follows up automaticallyIf someone on the thread does not reply, Howie chases them. You do not have to.

The result

Referral intro goes out → Howie negotiates times → meeting is booked → calendar event syncs to the contact timeline. No scheduling back-and-forth. No dropped intros.

For the problem this solves — and the data on why referral intros die in scheduling limbo — read The Intro-to-Meeting Gap. For a deeper look at how the integration works under the hood, Ale's engineering post covers the threading, CC injection, and calendar matching.
